APSA welcomes and supports various Specialist Groups and Caucuses that assist members to network and cooperate in areas of common interest. Specialist Groups provide either a research focus or community of practice for its members whilst caucuses represent a particular group and its interests within APSA.

Specialist Groups and Caucuses are required to follow APSA’s Framework and Funding Guidelines for Specialist Groups and Caucuses. APSA members can also apply to establish a new Specialist Group or Caucus to foster cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
