Doing interpretive policy analysis: policy informed by interpretive methods

Abstract

This papers in this panel are connected through research that has implications for policy making, such as community experiences of floods, diasporic communities relationships to indigeneity, as well as the contribution that interpretive methods can make to policy, including how to teach interpretive policy analysis, how to construct policy that is responsive to community experience and how to understand policy makers through an historical lens. Papers in this panel explore emerging methods in the interpretive canon, such as policy ethnography and interpretive process tracing.
