Pete Hay Early Career Research Prize is awarded to the best paper on the topic of environmental politics by an early career researcher at the APSA Annual Conference.
The Pete Hay Early Career Research Prize is named after Dr Pete Hay, a trailblazer in the research and scholarship of environmental politics and policy in Australia and the Founding Convenor of the Ecopolitics Association of Australasia.
Nomination Guidelines:
- The Prize is awarded to the best full paper by an early career researcher (5 years since the award of the PhD at the date of the start of the APSA 2020 conference, allowing for career interruptions) who is a current financial member of the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group, or on environmental politics to be presented at the APSA Conference.
- The Prize is administered by the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group.
- the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group reserves the right not to award the prize in any given year.
Award Details:
- The winner will be announced during the Group’s annual meeting at the APSA conference.
- The award includes $250, funded by the Environmental Politics and Policy Standing Research Group, and a one-on-one feedback and mentoring session with the judging panel for publication during the conference
