The Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) has released its Federal Election Statement for 2025:
Building Australia’s Capabilities in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
CHASS is calling on Australia’s next government to partner with the HASS sector to strengthen national capabilities in research, education, and culture. The statement outlines four priority areas for immediate action:
- Support for curiosity-driven research
- Repeal of Job-Ready Graduates
- Caps on International Students
- Restored funding for the GLAM sector
We encourage colleagues across the HASS and broader education sectors to read and share this statement.
