COP30 in Belem – Are You (thinking of) Attending?

To kick off a series of online events hosted by APSA’s EPP, we have invited three speakers to share their experiences and reflections on the COP (Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change). Please join us if you are tossing the idea of going this year (it is in Belem, Brazil), or you would like to know more about it as your research is related to climate change governance, or you are already part of the team who is behind Australia’s bid for the next one, or simply just curious! We will first hear brief presentations from two colleagues and then open for questions. It is NOT too late to consider, as the official deadline to put your name in the pool for the ‘floating badge’ is August 17. (If you don’t know what a ‘floating badge’ is, please come to the Zoom session.)

Convenor:

Fengshi Wu: Associate Professor in politics and international relations, UNSW Sydney. Dr. Wu’s current research focuses on societal reactions and responses to the global energy transition. https://www.unsw.edu.au/staff/fengshi-wu

Chasely Cameron: Associate Director, International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA).
